Someone on my “NextDoor” website, which covers our subdivision and another dozen or so in the area, is selling some things very cheap. (I suspect he’s getting ready to leave his wife and is going to do a bunk with the cash, but One Never Knows.) Anyway, he’s got a desk that might work for Tom, a set of computer speakers that Tom could also have, and some other stuff that interests me. Hopefully he’ll get back to me before dark, but if not, maybe tomorrow. He was posting lower prices just half an hour ago, but I said I’d pay the first price if the goods are good.

I’d never have known if I hadn’t gone on there to post the notice about the found husky!

W00t!

LOL! Sally has a sense of humor, after all!

This has been a strange day, and I’m not sure I like any part of it, except for the first two hours after I got up.

I was looking forward to 45-60 minutes visiting with Charlie (the other Peeps are all Elsewhere, today) and that was interrupted unpleasantly by a visitor.

The day has been overcast, and rain has threatened. The mail wasn’t worth getting out of the box, as it had a card from Sussette in it. I will respond to it, but I have to figure out what part of “I don’t know why you’re mad” to address. I mean, she still doesn’t understand that I’m not “mad,” and that I’ve forgiven her. I just don’t want to be her “friend” any more. (She is VERY upset that I blocked her on FB!)

I would sit and watch movies and crochet, but my recliner is full of items I need to place elsewhere, but haven’t gotten around to, yet. And any ideas I had of packing have gone out the window.

*sigh*

Hopefully, you can find suitable items that might encourage Bill the Son to move out, now that he has Gainful Employment. Somehow, I don’t see Tom the Tame Ogre as having the same problem with relocation.

If I could find someplace besides “Craig’s List” to post items for sale, I would, but that site is beginning to have an evil reputation, and being who and where I am, I would only come across as a “potential victim.”

No thanks.

Maybe an “I’m not mad. I’m praying for God’s blessings for you as always!” card to Sussette. When a person backs out on a commitment as she did to you, it is 100% rational to conclude, “This person is not really my friend.” That’s not being mad, not being vindictive, just looking at reality.

Hopefully you’ll have a good setaround with the People tomorrow and no unpleasant visitors.

Sally has a Tom sense of humor. It’s one of the reasons they fight: sometimes she says his lines before he can get them out, and vice versa.

Items from recliner to floor. Sit.

I finished six Jesus refrigerator magnets today, just need to stick the magnets on the back. I’ll take them (and any others that get done in the interim) to Weight Watchers on Tuesday. We always have new members, and people are starting to ask for seconds, because, “My friend (mother, daughter, sister) saw it and wants one!”

When they ask if they can pay, I tell them they should give to someone in need in their church or neighborhood, or make a donation to Waterfowl Rescue.

I thought of sending Sussette an email and explain to her that anger is not in my nature. (Perhaps in retrospect, it should have been.) But I wasn’t sure what to say in ways that she would understand. Being Filipina, she doesn’t always understand American English.

She seems to think that when I said, “I will find another way to the airport,” I actually meant I had another way. She takes responsibility for her actions, but I get the impression that it is mostly so she can make me feel guilty about finding someone else.

At any rate, I will hold off answering her until tomorrow. I suspect she wants me to be her friend on FB again, but that is NOT going to happen. She is a narcissist and I’ve already had my fill of her selfies.

You can sever contact on Facebook without nursing resentment or disliking someone. Although I’m not on Facebook, it sounds like a lot of people really aren’t edifying their “friends.” DP is on Facebook, and he sometimes shows me posts from our friends from Texas or Oklahoma, but I don’t think I’m missing too much: he complains more often than he says, “Here’s a nice picture of Martha’s baby (or JoLynn’s cat, or whatever).”

Wow. Still waiting for my Jesus refrigerator magnet, and I’m willing to pay in knitted or crocheted goods...

Making donations to any rescue organization doesn’t have to be in millions of dollars. It’s amazing to me that people don’t realize that even $1 helps.

I will send you a magnet in the Fairly Near Term, and you don’t have to donate or anything. The materials come out to about $.50 (mostly the magnet part), and the effort keeps me from eating while I’m needlepointing.

Would you like blue-with-silver, bright-multicolor, subdued-multicolor, or black?

Oddly enough, there are a lot of FReepers on Facebook that are no longer on FR. I’m there because that’s how I keep in contact with my kids and my nieces and nephews of several generations. The FReepers being there is a bonus!

And I think with that comment, I’m about ready to find my way into bed. Nothing else can be done here, today, anyway.

Multi-color, bright! I don’t want, nor have I for most of my life, wanted subdued colors. Probably because depression has been my almost constant companion, and bright colors fight that, quite well! Thanks!

And with that, I’m outta here until morning! :o])

Well, the snow amounted to a dusting by the time it was done, it is 18° heading for a projected low of 13° but I came across this tidbit..

I admit it is just a tad exaggerated concerning the Midwest, but it is spot on as to the other areas... ;-)

Good morning. Yesterday, someone on my neighborhood website was offering half a gallon of milk and part of a loaf of bread for $175.

Good Morning Kitteh is just what I need to start my day. I’ve been up 20 minutes and my stomach is killing me. The bathroom is warming up, so I will go help myself to some cayenne and see if that will calm down whatever is ailing my innards.

This is not a good start, but perhaps my outlook will improve once the shower is over with. I suspect my day will be slow and gray, as the sun is threatening to stay behind the clouds, so says the weather prevaricators.

My brain feels like aliens came in the middle of the night and replaced it with gray lint.

My day improved when I cleaned my glasses and drank two cups of coffee. It’s very cold here.

I wish coffee affected me that way. It doesn’t matter if it has caffeine or not, I can still take a nap right after I drink a cup of it. So I just drink it for the taste.

My project for the day is to finish the Rolodex, but not sitting in the plastic chairs. That’s a punishment worse than death for my hips, and I had no idea they would do that to me.

Anyway, I’m off to the shower. (After my alarm rang — I got up almost 40 minutes before it was set and I still can’t figure out why.)
