Dirty Harry, Andrew Robinson who had a recurring role as Garak in Deep Space 9. Very underrated actor.

He was Garak the Cardassian tailor (spy) on Deep Space 9. A very underrated actor.

“Hans Gruber was the best movie villain I have ever seen, pure evil.”

Rickman was a phenomenal actor.
He was the perfect villain in Die Hard.
Loved the way Hans Gruber died.

"Hans Gruber was the best movie villain I have ever seen, pure evil."

He was the only outstanding portion of "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" as the Sheriff of Nottingham as well...

"That's it then. Cancel the kitchen scraps for lepers and orphans, no more merciful beheadings, and call off Christmas."

Yes, he played the second Frank Ryan on “Ryan’s Hope.” We called him the Liberace Frank Ryan for his uncanny resemblance.

For actions films, give me The Road Warrior or The Warriors!

Road Warrior is of course amazing. Never got into The Warriors, never understood why people hail that movie, it’s so dumb.

It’s a fantasy with mythic overtones. It’s best to ignore the dialogue.

And the costumes, and the camera work, and with the main theme being one of Joe Walsh’s worst song ignore the soundtrack while you’re at it. In fact, just watch a different movie ;)

1988. So it’s a classic, like “Miracle on 34th Street.”

Back when only limo drivers had cell phones.

And bad guys had to rely on CB radios for advanced communications.

And Channel 9 was only for emergencies and ordering pizzas, and no one believed you if you called in an actual emergency.

It was normal procedure to send a semi-retired sergeant who shoots kids to check out a terrorist incident in a high-rise by himself. Tell him to “use caution.”

Back then, you could use “Red Castle” as your password without a number or special character.

Back then, computer monitors were detonation devices (why didn’t Hans just use those?).

Back then, you would “lose the grid or lose your job.”

The camerawork is terrific. As is the abstract direction and the action choreography.

Okay, I guess he inserted a detonator. But the somehow still-active monitor triggered the detonator or something? I didn't go to dynamite school.

No it’s not. It’s a hunk of crap. I think you’re finding accidental art. I don’t think it was supposed to be abstract, I think they just weren’t good enough to make it anything else.

I watched it once. I’ve watched “Fargo” 6-10 times. :)
