Trump.."Drain the swap" slogan disowned? some background from rallies

So I'm listening to Rush and they're talking about rumors that Trump wants to quit using the "drain the swamp" promise

And it sounds like some thinking this is a red flag breaking a campaign promise

But I think it's not what they're talking about is just getting rid of a slogan

Reason I say that and I want to know what other people's experiences are at the Trump rallies before me

I was at Trump's last rally in Phoenix before the election..

and anyone that goes to Trump rally knows that he does Vamp Off the scrip... in other words he just starts talking to you about different things

Oddly the "drain the swamp" slogan came up at that time

Trump start talking about how the campaign came up with that slogan how his people came to him with it and they tested it and how he described he really hated the "drain the swamp" slogan

Trump went on and said he says yes I want to get rid of all these corrupt people in Washington he said but he really didn't like this "drain the swamp" slogan to describe it ...but he tried it inter Alia and people seem to like so they kept using it

So this is all stuff he was discussing the rally

he wants to be wants to do with the slogan implies he just never liked the slogan and it sounds like now he's saying yeah I really don't like this slogan and I want to use something different

So when people are getting all concerned he's backing off a campaign promise, really from the rally, it sounds like he just doesn't like a slogan he still intended to do exactly what the implied which is get rid of the corrupt people in DC

Let's face it certain things in campaigns are marketing slogans Trump some marketing guy never particularly liked the slogan but he still wants to sell you the give you the product which is get rid of the crap people in DC

I'm curious if anybody else that went to these Trump rallies ever had had him discuss different things like this and even mention he didn't like the "drain the swamp" slogan for some reason

Rush was a establishment shill for Ted Cruz, so I don’t really give a crap what he has to say and I haven’t listened to his radio show in over 6 months.

I heard him at a rally say that Sinatra didn’t like “My Way.”

Perhaps Trump is going to stop talking about it and just do it.

I suggest he instead “Relocate the residents of the swamp from DC to California”. But it’s harder to sloganize...

See, California is already gone, so encouraging Dems and liberals to move there is like pumping the swamp and shoving the hose somewhere in the San Francisco Bay. Do it in other Blue and Purple states and some might even flip to Red.

CA has everything the progs love, lots of celebs, drugs, and brown people to walk their dogs and trim their yards. They can have a multicultural paradise (until the Big One comes) and maybe even secede. Once they’re a new country they can have Hillary as Preisent. Popular vote and all.

Rush unironically called Rubio a full throated conservative in the mold of Reagan. Gang of 8? Everyone makes mistakes, el rushbo said.

Now Rush is speculating on rumors as if they are fact.

The campaigning, sloganeering, and elections are over. Let’s govern. Let’s get stuff done. If anyone want to to characterize “getting stuff done” as “draining the swamp”, so be it. We need to stop electing campaigners hoping they will govern, when most campaigners can’t stop campaigning and can’t get much done (Bill Clinton and Barry the Boy King come to mind). Trump will get stuff done. The descriptors should become irrelevant.

Based on the level of rabid dishonesty I have witnessed in the Fake Media out of DC this election year, I no longer believe anything reported until I see the raw quote from Trump.

After 35 years of watching the media deliberately misquoting people I have been suspecious of them. Thanks to Wikileaks, w all now weknow for certain they are willing to manufacture PR falsehoods for the DNC. Until Trump comes out and says it, anyone claiming to speak for him can be assumed to be fake new.

“Rush was a establishment shill for Ted Cruz,”

This too. Hannity was the only one that showed independent thought. The rest, shills and hacks.

He needs to be presidential. His surrogates need to be the attack dogs when required.

Just remember—any attempt to predict Trump’s behavior will cause his enemies to be confused and scared.

Do you think that if liberal’s were all relocated to one place that they would attempt to export their liberalism elsewhere? Or would they be content in their liberal utopia?

I just heard a replay of him saying how it came up at a rally and people liked it....so he used it.

Rush is STILL a Team R hack. He can’t get away from being a republican sportscaster. It’s all “Dems bad, R good” every time I try to listen. I used to think he was so smart. We have gone way beyond two corrupt stupid parties at this point. He needs to lose his xxl cheerleader costume.

Never knew this, and I don't know what aspect of the song
he disliked, but I do know something of Sinatra's taste in
songs, and this song by Paul Anka was, musically speaking,
innocuous.

No surprise. There were some rumbling during the campaign that the beltway GOP was HIGHLY offended by the term. Good. LOL.
