We stayed in Joshua Tree with the Daughter and her family at a rental for a long weekend. Spent two great days in the Park before coming back to AZ through Twenty Nine Palms, Mojave area, Parker, Havasu and back to Surprise, AZ.

I will have to tell everyone, Joshua Tree is a great park to hike and explore with kids. Teenagers would probably give me heart failure from renegade rock climbing, but with the little ones the hikes are great and very interesting. The rocky terrain is great to climb and there is a lot of variety I had not expected.

Glad you enjoyed Joshua Tree. When my grandson was very little, he called Joshua Trees "Broccoli Trees." Haha!

He's 14 now and probably has forgotten about his Broccoli Trees. I'll have to remind him...

When I was stationed at Stumps I went rappelling out on the monument a lot.
