I've seen some of the pros. However, I can't escape what lays before my eyes that has me gravely concerned about this appointment. I've noticed praise from every corner. Catching no flak? Not over target.
Without lambasting each other as never Trumpers or Trumpists, can you please post what you think are pros and cons to this nomination.
AUDIO is the MUST LISTEN. I strongly encourage you to reserve comment until you've LISTENED TO THE AUDIO of Mark making the conservative case.

After ISIS, that is.
Levin has hated Trump from day one.
Trump was too far out for him. Levin much preferred the establishment types.
Now Trump makes a pick that Levin thinks is too “establishment”?
Doesn’t pass the smell test. Levin is still just trying to undermine Trump.
I have to wonder if some of the things Levin was complaining about (Tillerson on being pro AGW, etc) was kinda forced on Exxon if they were to survive under (gasp!) President Hillary.
I like that Trump did not
1) Pick a defeated rival to placate them (ala Clinton for Obama, or Romney)
2) Did not pick an insider or political hack (Kerry) looking to build a power base or stay in the public eye
Tillerson is already wealthy, doesn’t need the money, and isn’t a Washington insider, as far as I know. I believe he is serving just because he believes its the right thing to do.
Has Levin marginalized himself?
Here in a nut shell is why the dogmatic Conservatives like Levin have been the most politically impotent political movement in history.
We are not going to undo 100 years of creeping socialism by stamping out feet and holding our breath demanding ideologically perfect political allies. Some times you have to go with people who disagree with you position on this or that issue.
If, as Levin demands, you only accept perfectly pure politcal allies, you are going to end up being a pathetic little drone screaming on the radio, not in a position of leadership able to advance your agenda.
Levin, with his daily hysteric whining is an example of how the usual Movement Conservatives try desperately to spin a win as a defeat because the candidate is not 100% in line with their ivory tower fantasy of ideological political purity.
Since when is having a constructive business-only relationship with the leader of a major global power a bad thing?
I know we’re on opposite sides in Syria, but we’re the ones funding Al Qaeda (Al Nusra).
He will put Trump’s policies into action, not any policies of his own. In that role he will be by all accounts great.
James Baker worked for Reagan, as did Mark Levin, yet Baker is not good enough for Levin?
Who is Mark Levin?
I have a vague recollection of that name from “The Olden Days”, those days from way back in the pre-Trump era of early 2016. (Wow, how time flies when you’re having fun).
But, as I recall, he wasn’t much in favor of a Trump Presidency. And I seem to remember that, at that time, he was actually a pretty big name in Talk Radio. Apparently no longer.
If you listen to Tillerson at the Economic Club, you’ll notice his answer when the guy at the very end, after Tillerson talks, and it’s Q&A, asks him directly about AGW. Tillerson, the head of the largest company in the world, walks a diplomatic line to basically say Exxon will deal with it as appropriate. But you absolutely get the sense that he doesn’t believe in it but has to play the company along with the idiots that have been in power.
I am very confident that Tillerson agrees with Trump on AGW and once he’s out from under Exxon responsibility will act accordingly.
Just listen to the interview. He politely says that the models are flawed.
It’s very interesting watching some of these talking heads become totally irrelevant.
Cruz kissed up to Communist China but Levin doesn’t have a problem with that
Waste of time. Trump can’t do any wrong here.
It’s ok to be a former GS and Soros employee now. If DT picks, the tarnish is wiped away.
Tillerson's appointment will insure that Mobil and the US economy will share in the profits that Russia will eventually reap from this discovery.
Appointment of some Environazi Globull Warmer shill would enable the US to pay for a proxy war, and supply boots on the ground to deny Russia this oil and blockade their current supply to Western Europe.
If you believe Mobil is evil "Big Oil" then you want Tillerson out, if you think that Agore, Globull Warming, and Environazi Progs are energy scamming the entire planet and funding Terrorism through the Saudi's and the Muslim Brotherhood, then you want Tillerson in.
I like Mark.
Actually I think Trump, based on his appointments, might be going for US Energy independence and ending the OPEC cartel control over the world’s oil market.
I think Trump realizes one of the keys to restoring US Economic strength must be a very strong energy sector. I think he is looking to undo the idiot “green energy” positions the US Political/Media class has been pushing on the US since the 1970s that has resulted in us being hostage to OPEC.
There was a brief moment in time when I listened to Mark Levin once again after he came around for Trump. Yesterday I listened briefly as he ragged on Tillerson. Honest to goodness, that man is a raging, carping wet blanket. There is nothing he does not shred. I’m done listening to him altogether, and frankly, although I had considered signing up for his news show, because I like the others on it, I will NEVER subject myself to his negativity again.
Levin is a linear thinker and despite his bluster is not even in the same intellectual league with Trump or Tillerson for that matter. Levin is extremely tiresome and his rantings are those of a lunatic rather than a thoughtful and articulate voice of the conservative movement.
