It was a GIGANTIC ingredient and counts far MORE than stupid MSG, which has NO flavor at all and was introduced in the mid 20th century as a food enhancer and preservative.

MSG was sold as “Accent”. Pearl Bailey did the commercials and she really did love it; all her cookbooks include it.
