My mom always sprinkled paprika on her potatoe salad as well as her deviled eggs.
She used it on several dishes which now escape my memory.

Old Bay is essentially a curry powder btw.

Paprika is used in many dishes; NOT just Hungarian ones. It really is and has been for a long time, a BIG part of American cookery.
