You sound like me. I don’t think I go a day without basil in at least one meal or snack. I actually grow a lot, use it fresh, dehydrated and freeze some but still buy it dried in bulk for when I run low. I am going to remember “green toothpaste” for the grandkids. The 2 plants they’ve all learned to recognize as toddlers are mints and basil. Have 21 grandkids and almost all will pick basil or mint leaves to eat as they play outside.

Glad I could help! I have to keep it in the refrigerator at all times! Pizza night sneaks up on you.

Found little frozen square basil and garlic. Easy to use, too.

Basil and mint are fun to grow. Glad you do that with your grandkids!

My youngest daughter keeps those squares so thats where my head was when you said green toothpaste. She got her tastebuds from me I guess because there are always extra unopened containers (besides an open one) in her fridge and freezer. When I visit I usually cook a few meals. Every time she stresses to me to use as many little squares as I need to make it like I do at home with fresh stuff.
