A Chinese actor or an African actor can play Lincoln and I wouldn’t call it “yellow washing” or “black washing”. I could keep an open mind without dismissing it from the start because of race. A good actor could probably transcend the racial aspect.

I don't understand why it is 'Unacceptable' for Chuck Conners to play Geronimo while Sophie Okonedo can play Queen Margaret of Anjou (Historically known for two things 1: very pale skin & 2: Being one badass warrior Queen)

(Personally, I live for a time when an actor's performance is judged by the content of the character, rather than the colour of their skin)
