There you go again. Like the proverbial dog returning to his own vomit, you just can't help yourself.

So true. NB simply can't set aside his blatant disdain for President-elect Trump. There's little need to cite the examples, as they are self-evident to any sentient FReeper.

No matter what the topic is, it's invariably laced with overt denigration of the President-elect. The man hasn't even been inaugurated yet, but the concept of giving someone the benefit of the doubt remains alien to NB.

You see, in NB's mind, Ted Cruz wuz robbed! It should be Cruz who is sitting as President-elect, for only he possesses the ideological purity (except for those TPP and NBC annoyances) that is necessary to avoid the endless grousing and derogation which must be heaped on the "unclean" and unworthy President-elect.

NB simply can't disguise his dislike for Donald J. Trump, and that bias, for months now, has tainted every syllable he posts to this forum. As such, it utterly negates anything constructive that he might be able to contribute to an otherwise hopeful and positive ongoing conversation.

Instead, it's just endless distrust and hopelessly self-indulgent hand-wringing, ad nauseam and ad infinitum.

NB is living proof that erudition and eloquent analysis can only go so far when such a profound lack of goodwill is shown for a person that he absolutely despises with every fiber of his being.

In summary, nothing that Donald J. Trump ever does will be treated fairly and objectively by NB. That faculty does not lie within him.

Oh, he'll throw out some "boob bait for bubbas" praise every now and then in an attempt to obfuscate his true sentiments, but it's simply too transparent and inadequate to ever compensate for such pervasive hatred.

Only Saint Cruz could ever be worthy of NB's enthusiastic support. Nobody else— certainly not Donald J. Trump— could ever rise to the level of being treated fairly, or as anything more than a necessary evil.

It's really too bad, because once upon a time NB had a lot to contribute to the conservative conversation here. But every salient point he tries to make is irretrievably subsumed in lingering bitterness and knee-jerk contrarianism. I see no graciousness whatsoever, and such negative attitudes make it very difficult to persuade anyone, even when a point might be valid.

JMHO, of course...

You Two individuals have consumed a great deal of bandwidth on your favorite subject, not the facts of the matter concerning Donald Trump, but about your obsession:

Thank you for this. You spoke for many. This relentless Trump badmouthing got old months ago. There is a bitter contingent here that literally cannot wait for Trump to do something wrong.

For example, I saw a thread over a week ago on which Trump was being trashed for selecting Romney as his SoS. The fact that he hadn’t actually done that was immaterial. If they waited to see if he selected Romney, he might not. That would mean they’d missed out on a golden opportunity to malign him, so they had to jump the gun and pretend the selection had already been made.

Inadvertently these bitter losers are making an ever stronger case for Trump being the right choice. If this is the best his opponents can do, then he was doing a lot of things right all along—and he’s doing a very good job right now.
