If you respond logically to a feeling based argument you will get no place.
Take their argument and twist it back at them.
said, "Affordable healthcare is bad" meaning Affordable healthcare is good. Yes, it is good. Thank you for paying for my healthcare.
You're not going to get anyplace with them anyway. You know the old motto. Garbage in garbage out.
You can make the strongest argument ever made. They will say, "I farted. he he ha ha you're argument stinks."
This is all they need. You have to understand we're evil. If they ever have the chance to exterminate us they will.

One more thing. There are generally two types of leftist. The regressive leftist (your “friend”) and those that can think somewhat rationally(example: Sargon of Akkad. on Youtube)

I refuse to have anything to do with liberals. My wife accuses me of being rude to them, but I take that as a compliment, and a badge of honor.

The Show Me Response
Affordable healthcare is bad
Show me where Healthcare and affordability occurred
and I'll agree a target was met.
But until you can
Show me where the patient did not owe more than they expected.
Show me healthcare where parents no longer avoid care for financial reasons
Show me any plan that actually unites healthcare and affordability while removing the concerns that the plan implied it would solve, Then I'll agree and good thing occurred even if I disagree with the method used.
The Comparison Response
Russia is good, our allies not so much
No worse than the current foreign heads of state that Obama treats like allies.
Or the nations who depend on our energy policies to secure their market share of the world economy by keeping us out of competition.
The Exaggerated Agreement Response
Cutting taxes and over spending on unnecessary military equipment is a good idea.
I agree, You don't pay enough in taxes. How evil does one have to be to allow you to take home so much money while others have no income at all... You know what you should do? You should stick it to them by forcing them to take more money by filling in line 6 of your W-4 form. I say max it out, go nuts and show them how unnecessary these tax cuts are. Oh and BTW why are we spending so much money on military when we could be studying the effect of turtle farts on global climate change.... It's just insane....
Civil rights are bad
How dare they refuse the constitutional right of the unborn to die. What ? are we supposed to start carrying a guns and just point it at the less fortunate who have to resort to theft. Oh and how about those people who call the police every time somebody barrows their car, right? I mean how stingy you gotta be. they can buy another.
The Absurd Response
Reducing the population by 10 percent is a good idea.
That's the stupidest idea I've ever heard. Seriously, Terrorist are people too. Putin is a good guy, right. oh and we just can't live if anything were to happen to that model of humanity running north Korea.
Launching multiple Trade wars with nations that lend us money is a good idea.
Your kidding right. Who in their right mind would want to tic-off the people we owe so much money to. We should bow and thank them for their kindness. I bet they even gave us a really good rate. If not for countries like China and Mexico, we would still be spewing pollution here and all over the world. Thank mother earth they were able to help us reduce our carbon footprint. Show some respect....
The BS Response
The president should tell private enterprise how to run their companies.
BullStuff! Nobody has the right to tell private enterprise to how to run their affairs. Interfering in the operation of private enterprise would likely create multiple negative effects on the cost of doing business. Seriously , forcing companies to use inferior alternatives in their production and manufacturing degrades the quality and affordability to the consumer. Making companies to waste money on compliance issues that have nothing to do with profitability and success is just BullStuff. Like requiring a minimum wage, who's doozy was that one.... (facepalm)
Its just flat out nuts.
I know, Right?

To: Degaston
I was talking to a woman who voted Hillary even after my wife worked on her for a while - her finances are a mess and her life is chaos, but she wants more of same. I mentioned I had purchased Trump's book in the Campaign Edition with the commemorative sticker and his signature and thought it might become a minor collectors item down the road. She scoffed that i wouldn't find a buyer, so I asked her how much Hillary stuff she had bought - none.
Soooo, I mentioned how Trump continues to sell his stuff out and they can't give Hillary's stuff away, and asked her to please explain that - silence.

Arguing with a liberal is like teaching a pig to sing. It is a waste of your time, and it annoys the pig (liberal). Cut your losses and move on.
