I was working on a project with DOD. We sent two of our people to American University of Cairo to do some field work. This was right before all hell broke loose in Cairo. The two individuals came back with their report. The main feedback was the United States needed to be more understanding and “talk” to the extremeists rather than incite them. The second part of the feedback was the extremeist had a cause, and therefore were just in their actions.
Im convinced they were speaking to covert radicals who started Egypt’s “revolution.”
