A tiny minority (LGBT) is vocal and gets so much done for them by corporate America. A larger group of Christians gets insulted over here and over there by corporate America. Uh why don’t Christians just turn off HGTV and stop patronizing companies that are at war with Christian values?
I looked up the demographics.
In San Francisco this is it:
“10,384 (3%) were same-sex married couples or partnerships”
3%
In San Francisco. And this includes “partnerships”.
I’ve never watched this show... but I’m looking for it now that I know the left is trying to railroad them for being decent people.
Omg!? A pastor preaching homosexual conduct is -— shudder -— horrors -— sinful?! Whatever WILL the pastor say next? “Thou shall not steal ?” Obama solution : tear the infidel church down and replace it with a homosexual bathhouse. Proclaim a national day of celebration and drench the White-and-Blackpower House in “gay liberation” floodlights. Replace Old Glory with the homosexual parade flag. Dress the Marine honor guard in nice frilly pink fruFrus. Problem of mouthy pastor - solved. /s
The perverts will MAKE them do houses for gays....just watch.
Don’t give in, Chip and Joanna!
They are two genuine people that happen to have a hit show. Back when we had cable, I used to watch it.
It is an abomination that people are going after them like this!
There is no controversy, just a few whining queers attention whoring.
IIRC there have been a couple of episodes where gays were indeed to subjects of the show.
HGTV is good...I love watching some home improvement shows...
oh geez louise, there is so much lgbt on and who run HGTV we stopped watching it at all. They can have their lifestyle I just do not want to view it. And the pitiful dweebs that hassle straight folks are hopeless mean and society does not need them.
This is a non-issue to Fixer Upper fans, “gay” or “straight”.
It’s Chip and Joanna’s life and they are free to live it how they want, and we just get to enjoy watching them. I would not want to hear they changed who they are, and what they believe, under pressure from HGTV execs.
Marathon “FIXER-UPPER” on yesterday, all day. It was a delight.
Penny-The-Pit-Bull and I curled up on the couch and watched it all day together!
It made me very happy that HGTV “binged” the show in defiance of the controversy.
Maybe it was already scheduled, but I felt very vindicated watching it and contributing to its ratings!
I want to see a statement that says, "We dont discriminate against members of the Christian community". This network is overloaded with homo-promo shows.
Sounds as if HGTV will now seek to force a sodomite couple on the show. I wonder if the Gaineses will stand by their convictions.
