How do you hack a machine that is not connected to the Internet? Ask the lawyers that question and then dismiss the case because the lawyers can’t prove their case.
The scary thing is you can get systems experts and have them go blue in the face, but a lot of judges are stuck in the 19th century, and can’t understand these things. At least that is my experience. It would be scary if a judge couldn’t understand that there has to be a “connection” to the actual internet.
