We are likely in agreement on virtually all points.

For example, my belt remains buckled while flying, except if using lavatory.
On one flight we hit an air pocket that knocked my rowmate's head full-force into the overhead luggage bin.
I mean it really slammed him (and other unbelted folks) very hard.

The only thing it did to me was jar me awake and toss the magazine out of my lap.

Yeah. We’re on the same page. I had a friend back in the early 1980’s that was a flight attendant for Alaska. They hit some turbulence as he was walking down the aisle, It threw him into the ceiling and he came down on an arm rail, breaking his arm.

I wear my seat belt during the entire flight too. :-)
