This was stressful on so many levels. We were at the edge of an abyss for a year and many thought that it was the end of our Republic. No need for apologies. By the Grace of the Lord, we have been given another chance.
We better not muff this one. The Left will kill us if they can. The D.C. UniParty has been paused, but we have to ruthlessly destroy it!

There was a PBS Frontline show called “Immigration Battle”. It’s from Oct. 20, 2015 and it shows what was going on, BEHIND THE SCENES, in the House to get the Gang-of-Eight bill passed (it already sailed through the Senate). While the votes were there to pass it from the start (i.e., all Democrats and a few Republicans), Boehner, to his credit, demanded that the Hastert Rule apply, and that half of the Republicans support the bill before he would allow a vote. Boehner then got a bitch lobbyist to do the work of rounding up the Republicans (her remarks regarding Republicans at the end of the show made it clear she was a leftist the whole time)...and then, with the help of Frank Luntz’s rigged polls and Luis Gutierrez sweet-talking the Republicans that the only way to remain relevant was to import/legalize 30 million new Democrat voters, the Republicans in the House started falling into line until they had their 51% so the vote could go forward. They were hours from voting on it in June 2014, but Majority Leader Eric Cantor wanted to get a little gnat off his shoulder first, so they held off until his Primary was over...Cantor, of course, lost...and then the committed (idiot) Republicans started peeling off, and the bill was dead.

It’s worth watching. You’ll see a very recent name, Mick Mulvaney, who claims to Tea Party (now in line for Budget Director). They show him literally LECTURING his supporters at a group of his supporters at a town hall as to why we need the Gang-of-Eight. In fact, during the entire 2 hours, never once is the SCREAMING from the base mentioned...I really think they write it off to talk radio and now the Alt Right, and just ignore us - but they couldn’t ignore Cantor being kicked out on his ass.
