LOL, when I hear that, I assume someone is just being silly.

Sigh. Not only do we have rampant political-correctness which even if you don’t observe it, requires you to parse what others are saying, but we also have this obfuscation by this explosion of things that are somehow “right” for a digital age, even if there are tried and true words with real meaning available.

Look at LOL. I am fully on board with that one, because it displays the exact same meaning that everyone understands equally with far greater efficiency.

I despise getting emails that look like someone was typing them in a text message.

As well as posts and articles which are littered with Twitter hashtags all over the place, even some here on FR.

Whenever I open an article or post and see a bunch of hashtags I will immediately click it off.
