When I was working as an airline pilot, often wed get a little person visiting the cockpit (or, if you must, the politically correct flight deck) between flights. They were almost always the most bedazzled by the seemingly endless array of dials and gauges and switches and controls and meters and such. I remember one small fry who stared for a good three minutes and then waved his arms at all the stuff, and solemnly asked, Do you actually know what each of these does?
Making threats, little liberal?
I’ve also done some airline flying. This guy is typical of the abusive morons who populate airlines.
Flight rules are written by the FAA. Perhaps you have input but the ATC people do not have the final word.
Only a Liberal would respond like that. Meet me in person and we’ll see what’s what.
Air Traffic Controllers are FAA
Plese let it go.
I do know what I am talking about on this subject.
LOL, hey sport I realize you work UNDER the FAA but an Air Traffic Controller does NOT write the rules and that is ALL I was saying. If I busted up your little world in which you are “the man” then tough. Maybe you shouldn’t try to be something you are not.
Functions of ATC- Don’t see any mention of their writing regs...do you...sparky?
“Air traffic control (ATC) is a service provided by ground-based controllers who direct aircraft on the ground and through controlled airspace, and can provide advisory services to aircraft in non-controlled airspace. The primary purpose of ATC worldwide is to prevent collisions, organize and expedite the flow of air traffic, and provide information and other support for pilots.”
“
You have no idea what you are talking about...
Continue with this and you will look even more ignorant than you already look.
“You have no idea what you are talking about...”
LOL, right on and your source is.....?
Waiting.....waiting......waiting....
I think both of us know who was caught with his d*ck hanging out.....right?
The FAA Academy is in OKC...
I have spent quite a bit of time there.
They teach classes on numerous subjects which include but are not limited to:
Airspace design
Writing FARs
Writing NOTAMS
Writing and updating the FAA 7110.65
The classes are taught buy current and retired ATC and contracted out.
They are being taught to ATC that include active ATC and those that are in Management.
Those that are in Management are ATC that have moved up.
When Airspace is either designed or modified, current ATC that are pushing the tin are actively involved.
Shall we continue?
“Shut the fuck up! You want trouble, come and get it coward. Youre yellow.”
This what Josephine the Liberal sent me in Freepmail.
Looks like we’ve got another mouthy liberal little kid that can’t control his emotions.
I’ll tell you what, Josephine, when you grow up maybe your parents will give you the keys to the car to go get into some trouble. Until then don’t let your immaturity write checks your ass can’t cash.
“Only a Liberal would respond like that. Meet me in person and well see whats what.”
Sorry, but I don’t beat on little girls.
You’ll neeed more help.
“Youll neeed more help.”
Why? You going to bring your whole Girl Scout troop?
Of course. A “manager” who tries to micro-manage and DO all
the jobs himself is soon burned out. TRUMP has had years of
giving qualified people jobs and then getting out of their
way and letting THEM do their jobs. His finished projects
speak for themselves.
You’re playing with yourself. Writing a NOTAM,a “notice to airmen” is nothing more than a heads up and has nothing to do with writing regulations.
As I clearly said before ATC can have input into creation of FAA rules and regs but have NO AUTHORITY of their own to create said regulations. For that matter as a pilot I can have input to the FAA.
Less talk more action ...shemale
“As I clearly said before ATC can have input into creation of FAA rules and regs but have NO AUTHORITY of their own to create said regulations. For that matter as a pilot I can have input to the FAA.”
You might want to tell that to those at the FAA Academy that are writing the Regulations.
They could save a lot of money because these regulations are being generated out of thin Air.
Interesting, how you decided to go off on a tangent by only mentioning NOTAMs and ignored the fact that there are classes at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in OKC on Airspace with ATC as students.
and....NO.....you did NOT “Clearly” state that ATC can have input into creation of FAA rules and regs. You said one thing then said another...... so it is NOT clear.
“Not saying ATC doesnt provide a valuable service, just that you DON’T make the rules and can only offer SUGGESTIONS TO A PILOT
ATC is part of the FAA. You don’t have pencil pushers creating rules and regulations for Air Traffic Controllers. ATC is actively involved as they know the Airspace.
Suggestions to a Pilot?
§ 91.123 Compliance with ATC clearances and instructions.
(a) When an ATC clearance has been obtained, no pilot in command may deviate from that clearance unless an amended clearance is obtained, an emergency exists, or the deviation is in response to a traffic alert and collision avoidance system resolution advisory. However, except in Class A airspace, a pilot may cancel an IFR flight plan if the operation is being conducted in VFR weather conditions. When a pilot is uncertain of an ATC clearance, that pilot shall immediately request clarification from ATC.
(b) Except in an emergency, no person may operate an aircraft contrary to an ATC instruction in an area in which air traffic control is exercised.
(c) Each pilot in command who, in an emergency, or in response to a traffic alert and collision avoidance system resolution advisory, deviates from an ATC clearance or instruction shall notify ATC of that deviation as soon as possible.
(d) Each pilot in command who (though not deviating from a rule of this subpart) is given priority by ATC in an emergency, shall submit a detailed report of that emergency within 48 hours to the manager of that ATC facility, if requested by ATC.
(e) Unless otherwise authorized by ATC, no person operating an aircraft may operate that aircraft according to any clearance or instruction that has been issued to the pilot of another aircraft for radar air traffic control purposes.
You are not doing very well here......you do realize this?
Shall we continue? I am kinda enjoying this now........
This guy doesn’t understand management.
Trump is the guy who decides who the Chief Pilot is going to be. He’s the guy who decides what planes will be in the fleet. He’s the guy who decides the pay scales and upgrade times, personnel counts, loan decisions, long term plans, etc...
This guy has a job because of people like Trump who provide 100 million dollar airplanes for him to build time in.
As it relates to government, I would’ve voted for a Demolition Foreman for the job. He knows what needs to be done to our bloated FedGov.
Think a little more before pontificating, Captain.
“Think a little more before pontificating, Captain.”
Assuming this was actually written by a Pilot.
