The constitution says nothing anywhere about 270 EVs. It only says the winner is whoever has the majority of votes from the appointed electors.
Normally there are 538 electors, with 270 being a majority. If Stein prevents MI, PA, and WI from participating in the EC and they can’t appoint electors, then the number of electors drops from 538 to 492. A majority in this scenario is 247. Trump would have 260 and still win the EC.
IF STEIN DISENFRANCHISES THESE THREE STATES TRUMP WINS. Period.
We need to stop spreading this crap about going to the house if the recount states can’t appoint electors. That’s not how it works.
While I agree that she can’t steal the election and we don’t need the hand wringing, I do think understanding how this will play-out with a complicit media is worth discussion on a forum such as ours.
The whole purpose as I see it is to allow the Gore v. Bush mantra — illegitimate will be the cry from the press. Trump didn’t REALLY win blah, blah blah — in an attempt to weaken his administration in the minds of the low information participant.
Sure the battle shall be fought in state courts and in the House if need be but the real battle where we are outgunned is in the corrupt media and in the academic arena. That is where they want the fight.

And on a closely related note, how do you think the Trump voters in these three states will feel, now and for years to come, about being disenfranchised during this pivotal and emotional election? Even though the outcome remains the same, Trump wins. Game changer in a major way, for states that usually do not vote R.... just my two cents...
