If you watch the video, OSU players nearby are despondent, they knew, while UM players were jubilant, they knew as well.
As I said to another poster, only OSU partisans who watched that game think that OSU was the better team, most everyone else who watched knows better.
Sad, but true.
That being said, I am sadder for the situation that happened yesterday on the OSU campus. That was something far more significant and sobering than a football game. Best of luck to all OSU students and grads on handling the horror of what took place.
Thanks for your comments about the attack yesterday. My son and I are both closely associated with the OSU Marching band (son 2005-2009 and me 76-80). One of the people injured yesterday, and I think the most seriously injured is a current marching band member. As a matter of fact, he is in the same section that my son was in during his time. the young man suffered a broken ankle and a skull fracture. Good news is that he is expected to make a full recovery. I also think there’s more to the story as a fire alarm went off just a few minutes before the beginning of the attack - too coincidental. The suspicion is that the alarm was set to bring more people to the area where the planned attack was to take place. The implication being that more than one person was involved. Who knows? We may never know.
Oh and I should also mention there was a facebook posting made by UM yesterday with twitter comments from some of the UM players, coaches ... etc. Some of the comments echoed yours about “more important than a game.” Very classy. I reposted it to the appreciation of many fellow Buckeyes.
