Issues Response to News Stories about Trump Not Pursuing Clinton Investigations
(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement regarding reports that President-elect Trump decided that his administration will not pursue investigations into Hillary Clintons email scandal or the Clinton Foundation:
Donald Trump must commit his administration to a serious, independent investigation of the very serious Clinton national security, email, and pay-to-play scandals.
If Mr. Trumps appointees continue the Obama administrations politicized spiking of a criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton, it would be a betrayal of his promise to the American people to drain the swamp of out-of-control corruption in Washington, DC. President-elect Trump should focus on healing the broken justice system, affirm the rule of law and appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Clinton scandals. In the meantime, Judicial Watch will vigorously pursue its independent litigation and investigation of the Clinton email, national security, and other corruption scandals.
It doesn’t hurt to hope. There were some dark days before the election, and the MSM BS was wearing me down. The endless barrage of Hillary ads in my state, and the few on my side were tough, but I never lost hope. I believe the right thing to do, to drain that swamp, is to punish the miscreants. It’ll happen. Maybe Comey will grow a pair, or at least start taking testosterone supplements.
It appears that Trump caved. Started with NYT cancelling initial orivate meeting with NYT going to Trump. Then the meeting was reinstated with Trump going to NYT offices. Score a point for NYT
After private meeting, word gets out that Trump will give Hillary a pass. NYT scores winning point! It is easy to imagine a short and sweet scenario during the meeting.
Trump is told point blank not to touch so much as a hair on Hillary and her collaborators -OR- they'll destroy his presidency and HIS BRAND (including his family) in the next 4 years.
They took the wind out of his sails before he was inaugurated.
The next item of interest is "How soon after inauguration will Trump resign?
I PERSONALLY hope that she’s investigated for crimes, and if the investigation shows crimes, that she’s prosecuted for them.
My speculation of what may be going on behind closed doors, is different from what I want to see happen, but one thing is for sure. WE, the American public, do not have all the facts.
I can’t help but wonder what would make Trump waffle on the issue.
In my personal opinion, this waffling is a betrayal of his campaign rhetoric, and makes him no better than any other politician. He becomes a part of the swamp he says he wants to clean up.
My mind is open to learning what’s behind his decision. While I may agree with some of his policies, my respect for him can only tank if he doesn’t inform us with some very compelling reasons for backing off that issue.
Democrat elite are. Nothing changes.
Go JW!!! Justice must be blind. Trump drain the swamp like you said. We can’t have one set of laws for the average citizen and another for the rick and powerful. Don’t be a wimp.
The best thing for her would be jail where she can learn to repent. If you take that away from her you likely condemn her to eternal hell. She needs to repent more than she needs anything else in this world. Let justice have it’s merciful work for her and hers.
I think when the president-elect, whos also the head of your party, tells you before hes even inaugurated that he doesnt wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message,, former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said Tuesday.
Trump needs to come out with a clear statement on this.
He can change his mind later when “new evidence” is available. Which will certainly happen.
