Four years after the Civil War, the “Texas v. White” Supreme Court ruling of 1869 established that no state can ever secede from the union without the unanimous consent of all other states.
Getting 49 states to approve of the secession will be difficult at best.
Texas Vs. White was bad law. The US Constitution is silent on the issue of secession. For a reason.
