I have one, it’s a great .22
We were just married and he sold his childhood .22 (that had a beautiful walnut stock) and bought the Nylon 66. I thought he was nuts because I thought the wood was prettier. I don’t remember why he subsequently sold it, but he bought something else. He also bought one for his father at the same time he bought his. 1959.
They are wonderful guns.
There were some Brazilian made copies imported in the 1980’s.

They are great rifles. They are tough, reliable, light, and reasonably accurate.
Me too. I still use mine. And love it. With a nice little Weaver V22 scope on it, it can be a real asset. The only problem is you have to zero it after a dozen or so long shots. That plastic action is ok for the iron sights but the scope...meh. I still use the V22 though.
