ObamaCare was structured to steer people to Planned Parenthood to plus up their revenues for non abortion medical care and subsidize their abortion business. ObamaCare is going away so that source of funding will soon dry up.

My first thought was that they were "forting up" - closing facilities that weren't easily defended from protestors.
Shuttering clinics that weren't making much money? That could be a consideration too.
