Lets not pretend Christie is some sort of principled conservative.
He sucked up to RINO Romney and then tossed him over in 2012 when he wanted a photo-op with Obama.
He’s sucked up to Muslims when politically expedient.

I don’t believe any of this either. I did hear certain people like Mark Levin warn him not to use C. Christie in this capacity because he was bringing a lot of Bush and Romney people in and this would hurt his administration.

Those of us who have watched Christie for decades know that he is no conservative -- just an opportunist. He was an unethical local politician in Morris County, NJ. Voters kicked him out of county office after one term.
Christie's career was only rehabilitated when GW Bush appointed him to US Attorney. He got to showboat in that post. But for all his alleged toughness on terrorists, he insisted on appointing a Muslim of dubious allegiance to a high court position in NJ.
