Basically admitting that they and their reporters were essentially in bed with Hillary. Too little, too late. I hope Trump denies them access completely... No White House reporter, no interviews, no access at all. Oh... And he should cancel his subscription as well.

“We cannot deliver the independent, original journalism”

Should have stopped right there, he finally said something that wasn’t a lie.

“Sulzberger—who insisted that the paper covered both candidates fairly....”

“But we also approach the incoming Trump administration without bias,” he said.”

Laughable, shows they don’t get it and will never get it. Hopefully Trump just ignores them, like most of America already does.

“...while rededicating itself to reporting on “America and the world” honestly.”

They are cultural elitists who are incapable of honest reporting - it’s part of their physical being...a zebra can’t change it’s stripes...

The NYT asserts this ...

We believe we reported on both candidates fairly during the presidential campaign. You can rely on The New York Times to bring the same fairness, the same level of scrutiny, the same independence to our coverage of the new president and his team.

So, best I can tell, it is rededicated to changing nothing.

The Times is the clear front runner to win the Walter Duranty Honesty in Journalism Award.

Sulzberger—who insisted that the paper covered both candidates fairly-- also sent a note to staffers on Friday reminding the newsroom to “give the news impartially, without fear or favor.”

“But we also approach the incoming Trump administration without bias,” he said.

Lol. Lies. All lies.

The problem with "news" organizations that turned themselves into full propaganda outlets for the dems is that they would have to totally wipeout their workforce including top management to even be looked at.

Fox plays this game the best, they do a half and half mix most years until an election cycle then go full liberal except Hannity and have been doing it for years. Thank God they left Fox Business alone this cycle.

Up yours, Sulzberger, you pinch of $hit. You and your staff couldn't take a dump without bias.

I’ll believe that when I see it. In the meantime, I am not holding my breath.

This might be a call for objectivity. Or a call to double down (again) on its bias. We’ll see.
