I have said this before many times: it was implemented in such a way that it cannot be undone, and was done this way intentionally.

There is a huge, worthless, useless jobs program bureaucracy behind this, buildings, offices, furniture, computers, and...government employees.

They made it as massive as they could to cement it in place...intentionally, to protect against it.

I am not hopeful.

The budget is not subject to filibuster... So Obamacare was passed by attaching it to the budget otherwise MA Senator Scott Brown would have been the 41st vote against it at the time.

Paul Ryan has been clear that a repeal of Obamacare would be passed as part of a budget... Not subject to filibuster

First trump needs to find all of the graft and corruption in Obamacare.
He'll be in a better position to get recalcitrant Dems on-board repeal.

The Democrats nationalized 1/6th of the US Economy into a Democrat Cash Cow. E-v-e-r-y conniving Democrat voted for O/Care---parroting Obama's Big Lie "If you like your plan, keep your plan.

ALL the untraceable O/Care money from enrollments, fines, penalties, taxes, fees, and asset confiscation (from Medicaid users) goes to your "reliable, trustworthy government."

==============================================

Some observers note that the Democrat-controlled Senate passed Obamacare "after a series of unsavory transactions that purchased the aye votes of several shrewdly extortionate Democrats"....with a huge pile of money still unaccounted for.

The most unsavory was Landrieu's $4.3 billion "Louisisana Purchase."

THE PAPER TRAIL IS HUGE Sen Landrieu (recently lost her reelection bid) sold her aye vote in what Forbes Magazine dubbed "The 'Louisiana Purchase" that included a massive $4.3 Billion to Landrieu

FORBES REPORTED the Democrats’ nailed Landrieu’s support for Obamacare w/ a greenback bribe. Landrieu, critics believe, pledged her vote in exchange for some $200 million more additional federal funds for Louisiana. Except that, due to a drafting error, the law ended up giving Louisiana $4.3 billion: more than twenty times the assigned amount. MORE HERE http://www.forbes.com/fdc/welcome_mjx.shtml

===============================================

BACKSTORY In the fall of 2009, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) was trying to get the necessary 60 Dimocrat votes to pass the Affordable Care Act. He needed every Dim on board, which gave waffling senators a great deal of leverage. In Landrieu's case, she connivingly saw that selling her aye vote could get her maybe $200 million federal dollars. Obama complied. Reid chalked up another vote for Obamacare----not the measly $200 million but $4.3 billon was attached to the Obamacare bill earmarked for Landrieu.

=================================================

How $4.3 billion to Landrieu was calculatedly attached to the Obamacare bill, and how Obama and Reid failed to catcH and fix it, is yet another indictment of the Obamacare atrocity.

The $4.3 billion handoff to Landrieu should be investigated as an indication of how EVERY Democrat came to vote for Obamacare....and how tax dollars were laundered to get lock-stepping Democrats' votes.

They’ll be a few tweaks (pre existing issues, kiddie coverage till age 26). But it’s gone.

It's not "gone" if some of the most pernicious provisions are allowed to remain. Forcing coverage of pre-existent conditions turns insurance into something other than insurance.

It ALL goes or it leaves a trace of infection to flare up and destroy.

"Obamacare" is a sitting president's blunder of Ceausescu-esque proportions. In Obama's feeble mind, the ACA was not about healthcare.

Far from it.

The conniving Obama calculated the ACA to consolidate Democrat power that was supposed to install a permanent Dumbocrat majority. So much for that ding-dong idea....b/c 30 lockstepping Dumbocrats who voted for it were ousted in the 2014 Democrat Demolition Derby. Several retired knowing they could not be reelected.

====================================================

WHERE IS THE MONEY? O/care also allocated some $6 billion tax dollars----spending money for Dumbocrats ----which has yet to be traced.

The Untraceable $8 Billion ObamaCare PR Budget---truly govt fraud at its finest. Egged on by Pelosi, Democrats slavishly voted for Obamacare by an historic straignt-party line vote. But not one Democrat told Americans about Obamacare's Section 4002---which mandates an $8B untraceable fund to "promote" Obamacare (apparently b/c Boobamba had so little confidence in his signature legislation).

THE PAYOFF--WHO GETS THE MONEY? In 2010 Taxpayers are extorted $500 million, in 2011, $750 million, 2012, $1 billion, 2013, $1.25 billion, 2014, $1.5 billion, and, in 2015 and on, $2 billion

<><> Where is all that money going?

<><> Was cashing-in the incentive in getting the thing passed?

The sound of West Wing wire-transfers to states and to offshore banks is almost palpable.

===================================================

Congress passes the laws, but POTUS enforces, or chooses not to enforce them, up to, and including pardons.

Why do you suggest Mr. Trump violate his oath? -- "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

No, he can kill ObamaCare by doing his sworn duty:

  1. In Roe v. Wade the USSC found a constitutional right to privacy of medical records [from the government].
  2. The Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) mandates that those medical records be made available to the government.
  3. Therefore, citing Roe v. Wade, Mr. Trump could declare the ACA invalid.
This would force the USSC to throw out Roe v. Wade in order to save the ACA… do you think they have the fortitude to do such a politically unpopular move?

According to my congress person, the repeal and replace of O’Care is already written and has guaranteed signers of the bill.

So, I don’t know where you’re getting your info .. but I can guess.

I would love Trump to repeal it retroactively, refunding the tax penalties charged by the IRS back to the people who had to pay.

Effective, Republican don't have a senate majority for getting things done. The RINO's effectively count as Democrats, McConnell being the chief one.

Unless they can ALL be strong-armed into a reconciliation repeal, there is no majority.

Get rid of the mandates/penalties...it'll die on it's own. That requires a new look at the tax/penalty debate...and seeing as the architect of the UN-affordable care act admitted he lied out his ass to get it passed...it deserves a second look.

The problem was always about the COSTS of medical care, not the quantity of people without it. So what factors figure into the costs? The talking heads(backed by lawyers) say Medical Malpractice Reform accounts for very little in the cost of medical care....well, every little bit counts. Are there monopolies in those that produce medicines/equipment...let's look there. To the extent Wall St. plays a factor...remove that impediment.

A top-down study/investigation is required...get the best minds together and..."work the problem, people".

Insuring the truly needy is fine, insuring a bunch of deadbeats and dumping the costs on the backs of the producers...with the only intent being getting a permanent democrapic voter-base...that's as insane as open borders and it puts America on a track of third-world status at warp speed.

It was a demonrat turd...flush it.

However, Trump can revoke any 0bama EOs that Obama issued that propped up 0-care.
He could also direct the IRS not to collect the penalty.
This would cause it to collapse, and it would have to be repealed.

Drop the mandate and allow selling policies, both compliant and non-compliant, across state lines. Obamacare will die a natural death and those getting that or get expanded Medicaid will get inferior care with limits on where and what they can receive (just like always with Medicaid). Let ObamaCare technically exist so that "people who want there Obamacare can keep their Obamacare".

Anything less is a serious betrayal of his voters by Mr. Trump.

Why Obamacare Will NOT Be Repealed Anytime Soon

Obamacare is in a death spiral as far as the private insurance goes. This will force a change rather quickly. I can't see a Trump admin making illegal payments to insurance companies to keep it alive.
