Ok Michiganders. Here's a chat thread about your voting experience or anything related to Michigan and this historic day.
Hope with Mom BUMP!
I hope that is locals showing up, and not individuals being bused in, figuratively speaking.
Lately the only “news” is polls. All horse race and no content.
I think it's a very relevant thread for Election Day and what may be the most important political turning point in our lifetimes.
On the other hand, I find spam to be way more annoying. Especially butt-kissing spam. Who designated you hallway monitor?
Where are you located? I was born in Grand Rapids. My dad was born in Mt Pleasant, mom in Lansing. We moved to IL when I was about 2, but spent many vacations visiting the grandparents in Lansing. My mom’s folks had a summer place at Holland Lake, just north of Sheridan. Many memories there. Fishing for bluegills and pike, trying to water ski, playing euchre for hours....I remember my grandpa talking to George Romney when he was gov, at the Ionia County Fair.

Couldn’t agree more. I ignore most vanities, but this one I’m interested in. Michigan is a big deal this year.
I agree.
I have learned more from these vanity threads than I have from regular postings.
Normally vanity posts are not a good thing - but under the circumstances, I think that it’s OK. After this all settles down, then we can return to normal posting rules.
There are many existing threads where you could post. Take a look at your state's sidebar box.
Or, you can make a Freepathon donation.

I'm simply relaying Jim's request. If you don't like his policy, take it up with him.
hope for mi-—live CA after MSU —from small Mi town OAKLEY
GO TRUMP
Agree.
NW Kent County/Alpine Twp area....heavy turn out this morning. Line 30 people long before 7 am.
Last time I saw this many people there was when they all voted for “change”.
It is usually a pretty conservative area.
Locals. My black neighbor tore a “Hilary” sign out of his yard - someone put it in his yard on trash day, so he tossed it in the trash. I thanked him.
I just finished voting in Berkley. It took me exactly 40 minutes. One of the guys that was working the election said it was their biggest turnout in a long time, so far (poll was only open an hour). Anyway, they check ID and signature. The ballots are fill-in-the-circle. Then we feed the ballot into a tallying machine. These are the same machines they’ve had for at twenty years, so I’m sure they don’t belong to Soros. As you feed your ballot you can also watch to make sure the counter increments. I was number 267.
I also noticed that, on the ballot, Republicans were listed first in every category. Berkley, apparently, has more *registered* Democrats that registered Republicans. But it is close and party registration is not necessary. I am not registered to any party. So the party registration numbers may be meaningless.
This is at least the second thread where you have posted your comment on behalf of Jim. Did he ask you to do so? In fact, you even posted the same comment multiple times within the same posting. It is ELECTION DAY! I understand your point, but given the day your point itself is vanity. Try this vanity STFU.
Keep the reports coming in!
I think you directed your fire at the wrong poster.
Sorry Sarah, that was meant for justlurking, aka justannoying
Reports of long lines/crowds coming from everywhere...wonder what percentage of these are citizens who have NEVER voted before? I am aware of some here in East Tennessee...
I did. Sorry.
