I’m in a battleground state of Michigan. Our polls opened at 7 am. I got to my polling place at 6:35 and there were about 75 people in line waiting for the polls to open.
By the time they did open at 7, the line was out the door and I would estimate 200 people in line. This is heavy for my particular precinct, and about what it was in 2008. I’d say it’s lighter than 2012, though.
Are you in a precinct that typically votes Dem or Rep?
I was in line at 6:45, ballot number 20. Poll workers said good turnout. Hard to tell which way Macomb County is going to go though, as it voted for Obama in last two elections, but huge turnout for the two Trump rallies in the county in the last week.
