Judas? given the report of his death, i would be shocked.

scripture says (matt 18:7) “Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!”

but, my main disagreement, FRiend, is your statement that they were “doing God’s will.”

in my opinion, they weren’t doing God’s will, they were doing their own, which God allowed. God allows us our freewill even when contrary to His. Being God, He has the necessary power, presence and foreknowledge to turn all evil back to the good.

Some make the mistake of equating God's foreknowledge with His making things to be such and such a way. Judas, I would not comment on, but Pilate was not doing God's will, BUT God allowed and knew what Pilate would do. That is not the same as God cause Pilate to do it ... in conflating the two, a person faults God, as if there is nothing that is not 'God's fault if He doesn't stop horrific things He knows will happen. THAT is a satanic perspective, the ultimate 'accuser mentality'.
