It was brutal. Couldn't even dress myself; my husband and kids had to help me. One of the best gifts my son ever gave me was the extendable back scratcher; during that period, I needed it!

The doctor wanted me to go in for surgery, but we had just cleared years of medical debt and I was unwilling to spend any more if I could avoid it.

I have a tendency to sleep on my side, with my arm up or curled around my pillow. When one arm started to really hurt, I overused the other arm and hurt that, as well. What a mess!

Going with the best pillow on the market, changing my sleep patterns, and resting my shoulders as much as possible made a huge difference.
