One can only wonder about the PARENTS and the extended family of that nine-year-old girl. She has NO ONE to protect her...not a soul in the universe. She might as well have been an orphan.

Small comfort: as least she can't get pregnant yet.

She can’t “get pregnant yet”!!!???!! What are you talking about?

I had the obligation to do the intake exam on a 7-yo Amish kid who was 6 mos pregnant. She had no idea what being “pregnant” meant in any aspect and she didn’t know how she got pregnant. Finding all that out was the social worker’s job.

We all went home depressed after that particular day...it took us awhile to adjust. I still don’t know the outcome or who the molester was.
