I like the way you think, because I agree with you. Here’s my way of explaining it:

Imagine you are James Comey.

Imagine that you took your Deputy Director’s word that Hillary Clinton’s emails were not a problem.

Imagine that you announced his findings on national television as if they were your very own.

Imagine that you have been called “dirty” for three months after the announcement.

Imagine your surprise when you see the diagram showing three degrees of separation between the *person* Hillary Clinton and a $467K payoff to your Deputy Director.

Imagine how you might feel a little betrayed and sold out.

Imagine talking to on-the-ground agents who have other pertinent information about Hillary’s malfeasance with emails and security.

Might you consider re-opening the investigation of Hillary’s emails in order to rehabilitate your tattered reputation?

Imagine — It’s easy if you try.

Imagine how you might feel if you learned about some internal polling that showed the guy who promised to get to the bottom of the whole Hillary Clinton scandal, and all the related corruption, was about to become the next President of the United States.
