If no one goes to a 49ers game, does it actually happen?
The answer to that question is yes, because the 49ers' 34-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday is definitely going to count in the standings, even though almost no one showed up for the game.

I’m sure those tickets were sold so the team got their money.
Next season is when they’re really going to start feeling the pain.
Dump him
They can say he is welcome to express himself, and so are we.
When ‘letting him express himself’ interferes with his job - attracting and keeping an audience - he is no longer an asset.
Embarrassing!
Off topic, but why are the stadium lights on at an afternoon game??? Isn’t that a huge waste; what is the carbon footprint of that stadium? Aren’t liberals upset about that?
If the Vikings lose a few more games, their new stadium may begin to look somewhat like that.
Vikings fans are notorious bandwagoners.

First look, I thought those were red shirts. But they’re empty seats.
This freak show should have been stopped the first time it happened. Goodall is the worst commissioner in the sports industry.
most employers tell their workers to “express themselves” on the workers’ own time
and certainly on the workers’ own property, not that of the employer
we will NOT buy ANYTHING or go to any 49 games, period
until the management at least tells this $100+million dollar Ahole to CUTOUTTHEKRAP!
“Hey Viqueen fans! It’s not too late to go eight and eight!”
I certainly wouldn’t spend my hard earned money to be in the same stadium as that jerk.
True, but their skim of the beer and hotdogs is going to be lacking, not to mention the merchandise stadium sales.
I guess a CK paper target silhouette day would be going too far to get the fans back?
The non-snark answer is safety. Field lighting produces a uniform light level across the field, particularly if the game is played close to evening where shadow conditions can change rapidly.
I heard that it can get real hot on the sun side of the stadium, unlike Candlestick where it was best to sit in the sun. Maybe all the missing people are in the shade buying concessions. I wonder how crowded it is on the shady side?
You got that right. It’s probably a hard $ to swallow, paying for those season tickets in April, then not wanting to go, because of some fool on the sideline, and then not being able to sell them.
What is interesting and maybe amazing is 1. Where this came from and 2. Who said it.
1. CBS sports
2. John Breech
Not from a Deplorable Trump supporter.
In all fairness to crapperskunk, Chip Kelly is a black hole who will suck all joy out of a professional football franchise.
they will blame
the struggling economy
the mean election cycle
and of course the increasing climate change and mountain fires
