One has to be wary though.
I use a Amazon FireTV Stick. I use the Playstation Vue app, which has a LOT of stations.
Last night watching the Walking Dead was painful. The app kept freezing because their servers were getting pounded by the amount of people streaming.
I don’t care if you have a 100MB/S connection you’re going to hang.
In situations like that there is no replacement for cable TV and I’m seriously considering going back to it.
Or cCloudTV on Kodi (PC, Android, XBox, Linux, etc, etc, etc, etc...) You can buy a box on Amazon that uses it for under $35, add another $15 for a wireless keyboard and touch pad or air-mouse.
Lots of old time radio shows too. The old radio show “Suspense” has its own app and all episodes play continuously. The Conservative TV app has 4 different Old Time Radio channels which play episodes of radio shows that aired on that day of the month in whatever year from the 1930s, 40s and 50s. Normally they announce before a show “This episode of “whatever show it is” aired October 24th 1948, 68 years ago today...”Also, with the tunin.com app on Roku there are many other.
Also on Roku is America One News Network
I have Roku going through an HDMI cable for college football and Sling TV )BBC America, etc.). So how do I get this app being discussed?
It would be cheap for a year, after that I could go back to streaming. In a year their servers should be much better.
XTV is a “private channel” so to add it you log into your account, go to “add a channel” under “manage account” and enter the private channel code (XTVIPTV).
DH just plugged in XTV this AM and it was just jaw dropping! There is SO MUCH out there, it would take years just to ‘catch up’ Pinching myself; thinking I must be dreaming :) Of course, this is only temporary, like the NFL, the libs have the ability to muck this up as they’ve done in the past with Big Dish Satellite Television, sports, media, and other countless entities.
Oh, well, the app costs us nothing other than time. YEAH ROKU!
“air-mouse”
Is that something like “Mighty Mouse”, he flies? :-)
Seriously, what is an air mouse? TIA
XTV or X-TV is ‘not a associated with a valid channel’ when I try to add it to my account. Is it still available?
Yip, something like that. Me, a ninny; DH not near as much and he was the designated driver to get us to the square.
Scratch that. I just saw AustinBill’s post.

See you’ve found it! :-)
How do you ‘install’ it?
is it one of the selections from your ROKU menu on the TV?
Or on your computer?

Faux News had a chance to be the first to embrace News Streaming.
They decided to follow the rest.
If Breitbart News moves to Roku, it will be the end of Faux.
Doesnt work for me. Tried all caps, no caps, even tried with parens. What’s up?
