It’s now been just over a week since the Ecuadorian Consulate revoked Julian Assange’s internet access, following the leak of Hillary Clinton’s Goldman Sachs speeches. US Secretary of State John Kerry asked for Assange’s internet to be cut off and this was apparently acquiesced to by the Ecuadorian government.
Since that time, the @Wikileaks Twitter account is widely believed to be run by a new voice. Long-time followers of the account have noted the change in tone.
Now Julian Assange’s mentor, Gavin MacFadyen, founder of the Centre for Investigative Journalism and a @Wikileaks director, has been announced to have died of an undisclosed cause.(snip)
Followers of @Wikileaks have repeatedly requested the organization to produce a PGP signed statement proving that Julian Assange is alive and still in charge of the organization. Some of those making the request have been blocked and no signed statement has yet been produced.

They just posted a statement on Wikileaks’ twitter feed. It says that Ecuador took away his internet connections for the rest of the election cycle because they have a policy of not interfering.
They put out a statement today... Assange is fine, and Ecuador will continue to give him asylum. But, Ecuador will leave his Internet off until after the election so as to not "interfere". Wikilleaks went on to say they are still operating as normal, out of locations in UK, US and elsewhere.

One website that has been taken over by CTR in the past 48 hours is 4chan, specifically the /pol/ board.
This is am imageboard where many of the anti-Clinton and pro-Trump memes were generated. Users have been banned on a large scale for posting the names of CTR leadership, and for posting pro-Trump messages.
The users have regrouped elsewhere, at 8chan and voat.
In my view, this was a big mistake on the part of CTR. There are some very skilled blackhat hackers with anarchist, antiglobalist inclinations who were at 4chan.
Thanks for that interesting tidbit. 4chan has been a glance into a different world! I agree, if she went after them via CTR it was not a wise move. Don’t play chess with these guys.
