Is it a consensus?

OK. I'll play this silly game...

If I don't plan to buy 1300 computers a month, how does that impact or affect me?

It depends on what you want it for. I you want it for high end use and intend to upgrade components down the road at minimal cost - if you are a little computer savvy - I would go Windows based. If you want to do simple net stuff, play music and run some simple apps you could simply compare and contrast some really good bargain items online. For instance, Samsung puts out notebooks and laptops that integrate beautifully with their TV's and smartphones. (I know their recent issue with the phone... but I use it as an example.)

Today, integration is really moving forward, if that is your thing.
