Good question. In our 30s in a different situation, we should be very productive.
My advantage (to be independent at a young age) was that I was attracted to an agrarian lifestyle and wanted to own land (even though I am from a big city). If you are in a city, I would think it would be super difficult to become independent.
We are praying that God will place Trump and Pence into leadership. If this does not happen, perhaps we need to start a Galt thread. The prepper and the gardening threads already have folks that lean to being independent/invisible.
