I love the low carb diet, but I need a good sandwich...without the bread of course.;-)
I am going to try your recipe this week.
Exciting.
As an aside, my doctor is fascinated by my diet. All health indicators are positive.
I do add a lot of Gatorade when exercising in hot temps (I do a lot of cardio).
Got weak for a while...doing much better now that I upped the Gatorade.
At one time there was discussion (people on both sides of the fence) of draining plain yogurt to make yocheese. Supposedly the drained whey took away enough carbs to make the yocheese 4 carbs per cup and there was no sugar spike. Your greek yogurt should work, too.
I bet greek yogurt would work in Boursin Cheese.
Room temperature cream cheese (or yocheese, etc)
Softened Butter - up to half the amount of cream cheese
Garlic - a must
Dill
Parsely
Herbs to your taste such as oregano, thyme, basil, chives, margaram, etc.
Stir to combine. Serve on LC crackers or dip veggie sticks. Also can be baked in the oven rolled or stuffed into pounded thin and rolled beef and chicken. Or served on a steak.
The family likes chicken breasts pounded thin. Squeeze a box of frozen spinach so that it’s not wet. Mix the spinach into the boursin cheese and spread it onto the breasts and roll up to enclose. Bake until done.
FYI - The second ingredient in regular Gatorade is sugar. The glycemic impact is similar to a potato or pasta. G2 is a little better but both will take you out of ketosis.
