No, it didn’t. I was so stressed out I just gave up and went to bed. This morning, I turned the computer on, signed in and it took well over 5 minutes for my desktop (icons, etc) to appear.
I ran some tests which said error report taking up too much disk space and also windows update program needs to be repaired and I had the option of uninstalling and reinstalling all updates.
Not sure I want to do that since I have to CD that came with this computer and I cannot revert back to WIN 8.1.
These 2 programs I told you about take out all useless used space.Which one did you try.Read about both on Cnet.

I downloaded the advanced care program but my computer refuses to allow the program to work. It is blocked and I am unable to unblock it.
googled it, maybe this will help.

Thanks will check it out.
Some of my issues have been resolved with the exception of the Windows Update which does not work and I still get the stub bad data but only when I attempt to initially click on virus findings in Windows Defender. I was able to download new definitions today which I had not been able to do in two days.
Fine, be that way.
Same, i had to run it thrice.
Cool.
Which "it" are you referring to, here?
(That was two and a half years ago, things have changed.)
I'm interested in knowing what works for you. Take a moment and tell me, I'd appreciate that.
I’ve since gotton a new computer.
That makes sense, but sticking with Windows operating system would not. I would have a tablet with Android, probably.
