There was no evidence at all presented that the 12 year old victim had done anything like that - just Hillary’s say so in her letter to the Court, and what ould it have mattered anyway. This was a brutal rape on a small girl...
Hillary claims the evidence was lost by the crime lab. However, in those days one could not peform DNA analyzes. The labs were looking for semen and blood groups - I guess that in cases where there was only a single blood spot, then the tests were destructive, ie the whole sample had to be used. However, as long as the forensic lab could document their tests it should have held up in Court.
