The biggest jerk with a badge that I have ever encountered was a federal marshal, and the experience was a shock as I expected a higher level of professionalism. I'm not quite as naive these days.

I was arrested by the FBI once in another lifetime, and the charge warranted an overnight in the Pittsburgh city jail .. a pretty large facility and the local cops that had to process me, dresses the punk FBI "kids" down for not treating me fairly (I am and was at the time an old man) and "where are his leg irons, don't they teach you how to do things right in the FBI ?"

These older cops were SUCH a comfort to be around compared to the fancy schmancy younger generation feds.

I'm gonn'a guess the Marshal in question is a younger guy ...... older cops are more human.

(BTW, FBI charge dropped, end of story)
