This guy's mailbox must have been stuffed with checks every month, based on all the song he wrote.

Truly an “Invisible Man”, as I’ve never even heard of him, but he certainly has an impressive catalog to his name. Good story.

I was born in 1960 and grew up in England listening to the old fashioned singles/45’s & albums on a record player.
The name Temperton was under the title of the song on countless pieces of vinyl, he was a terrific songwriter, God bless him and RIP...

Well, he married a young Peggy Lipton, he must have had something going right. R.I.P.

If he was in any way responsible for the dreck called “disco,” then his anonymity was well earned and death should be celebrated.

He was deeply involved in disco. Fronted a band called Heat Wave in the late 70’s.

Speaking of mailboxes stuffed with checks, Neil Diamond must be having a serious case of writers cramp these days. Sweet Caroline is being played at nearly every college football game and at various sporting events around the world.

He didn’t front them; he was literally just the piano player.
But he also wrote music for the execrable Donna Summers. And “Always and Forever” is enough to damn him for eternity.

Yes. I misread the line. I assume I will be forgiven for posting a screenshot of a young Peggy Lipton.

I remember DJ’s introducing them at the time as “Rod Temperton and Heat Wave”.

Quincy and Peggy's daughter is kinda cute.
To: Buckeye McFrog
More like “Satan and his Lieutenants.”

I wonder why he stayed behind the scenes and didn't sing his own songs ...
