My brother says the hardest part about vaping is telling your parents you’re gay. *ZING*!!!! :D

Started vaping 2 years ago after 50 years of 2 packs a day. Never wanted another smoke. Cough quit after a day, nose cleared up after 3.

For me, a lot of it was being able to use my hands and mouth.

Try cigars.

Yeah right, I quit smoking for 12 yrs and then started sneaking the occasional cigar. I ended up with a 6 cigar a day habit that was much worse than my 2+ pack a day cig habit. I tried and tried to quit cigars without any luck it was a far more powerful addiction because you are taking in far more nicotene with cigars.

After 5 or 6 years of this I finally decided I had to take drastic measures to rid myself of cigars. What worked for me was switching back to cigarettes for exactly 6 months. I set a cutoff date for cold turkey and stuck to it.

I'm tobacco free for almost 9 years now.

Cigars may have worked for you, but cigars nearly destroyed me.

Seriously, just quit. It’s the only way. After 25+ years, 2 pack a day habit, I quit. First 3 days are the hardest. Once they pass, the nicotine is pretty much out your system, and it’s all will power (and, as previously noted, behavior modification) from there. Hardest part for me was reaching for a smoke after dinner, or when I got in the car, etc. Just find something else to do. keep reminding yourself you are now a non-smoker.

Vape if you can’t quit but stop smoking as soon as you can. I quit 6 years ago using chantrax for about two weeks weened off over a 5 day period. Then each day after when I got up I would say not going to have one today. Vigorous exercise is a great help if you can do it each day.

Good Luck you will feel better for it.

I started in May 2008, and haven’t looked back. They just tasted better.
I also didn’t turn into a tobaccophobic nazi.
Still love the scent of burning tobacco.

In the end it is very simple.
What you would ‘like’ -VS- What you ‘want’.
What you ‘like’ is this minute, today, this week, trending...
What you ‘want’ is the direction of this expedition(life).
I liked smoking, I want to be a non smoker.
Then it became easy, and eventually comfortable.
Good luck.

I have, several times.

IMHO, the hardest part with vaping is there aren’t a lot of standards. The best place to get supplies is the web, but there’s a several day delay to get them. There are more and more vape shops, but one shop carries one type of coils and they only fit the tanks/batteries they carry. Another shop has their brands. So sometimes you can get juice, but no hardware from a given shop.

What I’m getting to is you have to plan ahead to have plenty of juice and hardware so you don’t run out, because especially at first, if you run out or something breaks, you’ll hit the analogs before you can resupply unless you have a local source.

Some people do have issues with PG and/or VG. Some of the vape juices irritate my throat/lungs or sinuses. Old coils can cause irritation too.

But it’s worth it to find what works and get off the coffin nails even if it’s not quite as good as quitting altogether. I tried a pack a few months ago when my battery went wonky and couldn’t even get through half of it - it tasted so bad.

smoked up to 3 packs a day (seriously) for over 20 years. I was given an ecig to try out over a weekend and have never looked back in the last 8 years. Same thing for my wife.

Vapping is gay.

You've just given all the single German FReepers the vapors.

I smoked a pack a day for over 20 years (Camel Filters and Marlboro Reds). Started vaping 3 years ago. I started off vaping instead of smoking during work hours and just smoked at home and on the weekends. Did that for about 4 months, then went to just vaping. I vape 6mg nicotine now and feel soooo much better! I went out drinking and smoked a real cigarette and it was horrible.

I had a 5 cigar a day habit for several years but finally got tired of the expense, even with the cheapos I was smoking, so I switched to corn cob pipes. I buy a 9 ounce bag of tobacco for 10 bucks and I can stretch that out to close to a month.

Pipe smoking is a lot of work, and that tends to cause you to smoke less.

My son-in-law smoked for 30 years, he started vapping cutting back nicotine level each time he replaced his vap oil.

After awhile he was at zero and only vaped because he liked it. Now he vaps maybe twice a week.

Yes! I started in Aug 2015 and I haven’t touched a cigarette since. I use Halo Menthol Ice (it gives me that.. sensation in my throat that mimics the menthols I so loved).

I started after my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. She wishes we had something similar when she was younger, even though she quit 10 years after she started. She passed away in October 2015 and even if I didn’t have vaping I probably wouldn’t touch another one, anyways.. but it really helps.

We had guests over the weekend: both heavy smokers. Let them smoke in the house, but the smoke and smell is offensive to me now.

Just stay away from the hash oil.

You’ll be worshipping Gia in no time and spouting the settled science of GloBull Warming.

I’ve upgraded to the new e-Cigar (Cubano) and use a custom load of nicotine, caffeine (double expresso) and medical marijuana, and Centrum daily vitamins.

It really launches my morning! I’m energized, focused, healthy and laid back - all at the same time.

I’m not quitting!
