Northridge and Sylmar were in the 6.6, 6.7 range. Big enough to make me rethink the idea that earthquakes are fun.

North ridge was a monster quake nothing nice about that one

And, hopefully move if living on alluvial soil areas.

I left Northridge, CA and moved to NH last year. Earthquakes - main reason. We were overdue for a big one. The Northridge quake big enough for me. My whole apartment collapsed in that one - it was only about a 5.9 mag.....

That’s for sure. They are at least disquieting to go through. The idea of that much power being expended is scary.
