I have always thought that the Libertarian candidate hurts the Republican candidate.
But ... with the behavior and comments I am seeing from the Modernist Progressives I know, I'm not so sure.
Thoughts?
Himself. He can’t be trusted with a sharp object.
(I know, non-responsive answer.)
His voters.
The Reptoids?
Normally a libertarian candidate would hurt conservatives. But this guy isn’t very libertarian. He’s getting all of the disgruntled Bernie votes and the ‘liberal’ people who can’t vote for Hillary.
Well lets see: The rest of the Never Trumpers; Willard “RAT” Romney, ROTTEN, Bernie’s fans that haven’t switched over to Trump...
If this article is trying to imply that it will hurt Trump, they can forget about that...it’s helping him...
I have a vetted file on this Gary Johnson and he is worse than dumber than last years birds nest...this guy has ‘toked’ his brain out...
Dems, I think. At this point in time I suspect pot legalization is the most attractive issue to the majority of their would be voters.

Those are usually Democrat voters.
Every person I know who has expressed some level of support for Johnson has been a disaffected Hillary supporter. I think that’s a pretty reliable characteristic.
I think drug legalization is the only reason people vote for libertarian candidates.
I thought Trump but experts say Hillary.
That’s why you saw the national negative news stories on him.
What she said.
I'll add that his running mate (William Weld) is a liberal Republican, whose positions make him toxic to conservatives.
I expect a wash.
Normally, Liberterian votes mostly come from Republicans.
This year, likely about equal because of Bernie voters and that a majority of Millennials are pro-gun.
“At this point in time I suspect pot legalization is the most attractive issue to the majority of their would be voters.”
Very true. But looking at Minnesota’s precinct caucuses back in ‘12, there were a number of younger Ron Paul supporters who showed up. I questioned them about who they were supporting and why. More than just a few would say (and I’m paraphrasing a bit) “Dude, he wants to legalize pot...”
I appreciated their honesty and then behind the scenes, tried to block them from getting elected to precinct delegate positions.
keep going. you’re perhaps beginning to understand that libertarians are the flip side of the same leftist coin.
I am willing to (and have) voted for Libertarian candidates locally [even though many are pro-abortion :( ]
Aleppo....and dudeness.
I guess we now know who we should be talking up in certain areas social media and certain conversations ...
;)
He’s trying to hurt Trump. He’s running ads non stop on conservative radio here in FL.
