Not even close. Trump beat her like a drum. He several times got her to induce her condescending harpy like personality, and people don't like her.
That is exactly accurate and it is also exactly what I said on another thread.
He should have hammered the CORRUPTION that was represented by her private email server. He should have hung the "birther" movement around her neck like an albatross, because the facts are, she and her campaign did indeed start the whole thing.
such a job on those cheek puffers. makeup didn’t do much for the bags under her eyes and that clownish grin of hers most annoying. keep the camera on the one speaking.
as for Donald’s breathing...actually quite a study of Yoga I am guessing.
see ya next time!
I do think Trump will get the bounce but it will not be reported.
Trump may be lulling her into a sense of complacency ... that he’s not quite the challenge she once thought he was.
I took the liberty of extracting the above salient point from your excellent post.
She is walking into Trump’s trap.
If he had come out swinging last night, the leg humpers in the media would have had a field day with how mean he is and that his “attacks were personal”. The mouth breathers would be up in arms and it could hurt Trump.
If that had happened, she could back out of debates two and three as a victim.
He was cordial last night for one reason only. To lull her into the belief that she can hold her own against him in the next debate. He will step up his rhetoric and backhand her at the appropriate time.
She also claimed he was hiding something. Here Trump should have responded “Well I wasn’t hiding 33,000 subpoenaed emails or any classified documents on an illegal server if that’s what you mean by hiding something. What does hiring somebody to clean your server , and I don’t mean with a cloth, to erase federal evidence of wrongdoing say about who’s hiding something.” He let several opportunities go like that.
Trump was Trump and Hillary was Hillary. Nothing new. Nothing changed. Next round of polls should still be about even.
I can only imagine the anger boiling up inside Trump this morning from Clinton's despicable comments about "names Trump has called women" near the end of last night's debate -- all lies, of course! Gingrich covered this last night on his follow-up segment with Hannity.
I think -- I hope -- Donald Trump holds this close and, nothwithstanding the concerns he voiced about taking cheap shots (and expousing lies) in front of Clinton's family, fires back high and hard -- and without mercy on the campaign trail and in the next debate ... and talks about Clinton active support and cover-up of her husbands felonies and moral turpitude against many, many women.
The questions were clearly vetted and shared with the Clinton campaign. She appeared completely rehearsed. Must be nice to be able to spend days rehearsing answers to “debate” questions.
But it wasn’t a debate. It was a one-sided, leftist-controlled, media spectacle. From the questions. To the elevated platform (they say did not happen but clearly the cameras show otherwise). To the mic setup. To the interruptions and tone of the moderator. And the moderator’s so-called “fact checking”. Trump had to debate two people last night — Hillary AND the so-called moderator.
None of the questions dealt with real issues like her illegal, criminal email server and her subsequent obstruction of justice, destroying evidence, witness tampering, and perjury.
No questions addressed her CRIMINAL use of the office of Secretary of State to sell access using the CRIMINAL enterprise known as the Clinton Foundation.
Tax returns? No voters are going to go over and try to comprehend hundreds of pages of tax returns. The Clinton campaign and her best team members in the media are chomping at the bit to go over Trump’s returns and “interpret” them for voters.
How about the Clinton returns. How about them giving themselves a million dollars and writing it off as charity. How about their past tax returns that wrote off things like the “donation” of used underwear as a deduction.
Actually, he drew blood there when he said that he would release his tax returns when she released all her emails. He could have leveraged it better by, after saying how sad and deplorable it was that 5 of those who set up her illegal emails system (and that it was by intent and not a mistake), asking who was really hiding something.
I would also have liked him to go back to her beginnings and mention her getting kicked off the Watergate case for lies and general lack of ethics.
As it is, he didn't damage himself and she didn't help herself as far as turning anything around.
Expect him to have more pointed barbs for the second debate and to use the interim to make some other points.
You are a lone wolf with your observation!
Most Snap polls show Trump winning debate in a landslide!

I think it was a wash with missed opportunities by Trump to really turn things around on her. maybe last night he was projecting the “nice” Trump and set her up for a real takedown.
that is a win for Trump.
Trump won on almost all of the online polls!
Trump did what he had to do and won it!
Most people both Democrat and Republican that I know calls it a wash.
In the fwiw dept, Hillary has at least 25 years experience at debating, and Trump has 1.

The population only grew from 280 to 320 million, so that is impressive export growth. I hope some one tells me there is something I am missing because I am starting to re-think some of my assumptions.
The crowd was very hostile when he said that.
But he didn't say that. I said that is what he should have said.
He mentioned her 33,000 emails, that is when I heard the “boos”
He did mention it when he offered to exchange his tax returns for 33,000 emails. He SHOULD have nailed her on the HIDING stuff though. He had her dead to rights on BleachBitting the data when it was under subpoena.
