If we can’t be honest...as a pure debate, she won. No doubt about it. She’s been freaking doing it for 40 years. He’s been at it for 1 year. He didn’t prepare. It was pretty obvious. I don’t know if it will change anything, I hope not, but if we can’t be honest, than why are we here?

You must be a “pure” Jeb type Republican who stands on the 2 minute debate style but lets the ‘Rat run on and on for 5 minutes like tonight. Don’t want to be seen as rude lest you interrupt. And ask only stupid questions like the birther comment and bend over like Romney.

I tend to agree that Trump could have prepared more and performed better. But with respect to who won, your perception is just your perception. Have you ever watched a movie, attended a live music concert, or read a book that you didn’t like yet others raved about it? The point is, some people may see this differently than you do. You don’t have to accuse anyone of not being honest.
I understand your sincere concerns about the quality of Trump’s performance. Many FReepers have commented about that on various threads this evening. But I wouldn’t be so certain and judgemental about how others should see it or question their honesty. Just my 2 cents.
You say he didn’t prepare “it was pretty obvious” what was obvious? I didn’t see that at all. I thought he did really well.
Your analysis is correct. He got in a few good shots in the first half, but she won.
But he didn’t act like a bomb thrower, so as the challenger against a status quo candidate in a year in which people are looking for change, he didn’t lose. That is all he had to do.
