That’s the only thing I do not like about In and Out. I tried the fries one time only. They tasted like deep fried card board. I got NOTHING from them. Even Jack in the Box serves better french fries. I go to In & Out for their burgers.
It is amazing how they could start with good fresh potatoes and end up with blah fries. Love their burgers and shakes, though.
By the way, sports bars double fry their (thick) fries. They blanch them in the morning and refrigerate them, then fry them by the portion as needed.
