Back in 2012 I passed by one of those “Register to Vote” tables in front of a supermarket. One would think they’d be nonpartisan, except for the fact that the ladies manning the table were wearing Obama sweatshirts and caps.

I believe it is perfectly legal, as long as they allow you to register with any party. If they shoo you away once it becomes clear you don’t want to register ‘Rat, then there is a crime.
